Adam was genetically engineered for the holo wars by an Orion syndicate.  Adam, though genetically engineered, is very religious and believes in God.  His master, who was merciless, died one night of intoxication in his bathtub and left no mention of his existence in a will.  Free Adam decided to continue competing in the holo wars as a free agent.
