After Timothy left the Enterprise at the End of "Hero worship", he followed in Data's footsteps and joined the Academy.  unfortunately, nothing came to fruition, when a few days before Graduation his fiance was murdered on Risa where they were celebrating.  After dropping out of Starfleet, Timothy used his skills to compete in the holo WArs for sports and entertainment.
