Origins of Christmas

Noah and Voth built a mighty Kingdom, becoming the holiest of places and the holiest of tribes, the Danes of Denmark; Noah died; when Voth came of age, he decided to continue his Father’s Journey; as a young boy Voth would listen to his father tell tales of a placed called Valhalla farther north beyond the Great Lake of Monsters, “A place where the land goes on forever without a soul to be heard or seen.” Voth gathered a Legion, then left the Holy City to travel north, leaving his Vice in charge. Voth and his Legion battled elements and defeated the Kraken in their Longboats, found the Northern passage into the New World. Voth ran into a Mongolian tribe called the Huns. The Nordic Tribes were born. When Voth returned to his Holy City it had fallen into sin; not far from the gate of the Holy City an Elf who was hiding and dying to meet him, crossed his path. “I heard your stories from a leprechaun who heard them from a fairy who heard them from a mermaid who was gazing at you from the shoreline during the Lake of Monsters, I just had to meet such a one, so I came to the city looking for you only to find the Vice has a price on your head, it is not safe for you in public.” Voth knew of a place where they would be safe. Unknown to his Vice, Voth and his Father had built underground bunkers and tunnels beneath the city to flee in case the city ever fell to an invading army.

Like many Holy Cities falling into sin, humans became inhumane and sought after lust; they began to build stone idols and seek after the Devil and Satan for power over others, all the while confusing fathers with sons; Vice, bitten by a Vampire. Voth did not want to abandon his city to a Vampire, but knew the only way to resurrect his City would be to lighten the hearts of the citizens; so he invented toys for them to share and spark their imagination; he figured before people could share in the love of God, they should first learn to share their toys. So while the Vampires slept, for even the Devil sleeps at night while Satan is awake, Voth would climb out of the tunnels and give away toys to all the girls and boys; good kids got what they needed, bad kids got what they wanted; Voth figured every kid deserves a toy. Vice, getting suspicious, wondering where all the toys were coming from and why the citizens were beginning to think there was hope. TheVice and his Veda found the entrance to the underground tunnels; Voth and the Elves valiantly warded them off with Voth delivering the final blow, driving a stake into the Vice’s heart. With Denmark free of Vampires, it’s citizens learned to love again, a Holy Fallen City reborn. Voth decided to keep his identity and whereabouts a secret and changed his name to Santa Clause, continuing the tradition once a year, calling it Christmas. Many citizens wondered what happened to the Holy Viking who never returned from the Lake of Monsters. Many stories were written of all the possible battles he may have fought, which were all true. Other Unholy Cities began to have hope too, people became toymakers and the Spirit of Christmas stirred in the hearts of many.
